How being a WEAA Scholar has made a difference in my undergraduate experience:

Being a WEAA scholar has helped me feel like I belong on this campus. Being a low-income first-generation college student is challenging, but WEAA helps to make each student feel welcome. Their generous financial support along with their encouraging guidance has made me hopeful for my future and has positively impacted my undergraduate experience.

“Thank you for all of your generous financial support – it truly means a lot to me.  Because of this scholarship, I have been able to experience things that I would not have been able to otherwise.  While many of my friends can partake in costly leisure activities with ease, this is not the case for me.  Being a low-income student on this campus can sometimes feel isolating, so having your financial and emotional support has really helped me feel more comfortable and at ease during my time here at Northwestern.  I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support.  It has meant the world to me and I will always be grateful for it.”  Hailey, SESP /WCAS ‘20
