Dina Elamin
Class of: 2029
Hometown: Irvine, California
Major: International Studies and Economics
Why I Chose Northwestern:
I chose Northwestern because of its community. Aside from the many career advancement programs and opportunities provided, I really liked many of the cultural clubs on campus. I had been following the Middle Eastern and North African Student Association, For Members Only, the Muslim Cultural Students Association, and the African Student Association, all of which I have had the opportunity of joining recently. Each has helped me feel a little closer to home.
What I plan to do after graduation:
As someone who is passionate about refugee and immigrant rights, I hope to continue with my education through law school and, hopefully, a er, pursue a career in immigration law.
