Career summary:

Several years heading biomedical libraries, including Director of the Medical Library for Southern Illinois University School of Medicine; internal consultant for Inland Steel; and over 30 years as President and owner of AA Roach Financial Planning, providing personal financial planning and investment advice.

Community/volunteer commitments:

Agnes was a founder of three women’s networking groups: the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group for University of Chicago women MBAs, which she served as first Co-Chair; the Gurnee Women’s Business Association, which she served as second President, as well as Treasurer for many years; and later, the University of Chicago, Chicago Women’s Alliance, which she served as first President. Agnes chaired the committees that developed the goals for each of these organizations. In 2012, she received the Alumni Service Award from the University of Chicago. She also served on the board of Catholic Charities Senior Services Division for many years.

Agnes served in several capacities for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, including President of the Kentucky and Illinois Chapters, and on the National Board. While on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Illinois, she chaired the committee that wrote its objectives when it was founded.
